Heartsaver CPR/AED Course

It is our belief that all members of the community should be certified to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and know how to use an AED (automatic external defibrillator). The community-based CPR class is called “Heartsaver AED”.

  • Class Length: 3.5 hours
  • Class Fee: $40 – FREE for permanent residents of Henrietta (does not include the cost of the required textbook)
  • Certification Period: Two years

NOTE: This course is NOT for medical professionals. If you are any of the following, please see the “BLS for Healthcare Provider Class” below: nurse, nursing student, EMT, paramedic, dental office employee, medical office employee, etc.

A textbook is required for the Heartsaver AED class. Textbooks may be purchased in advance or at the time of the class from Henrietta Ambulance or by e-mailing cpr@hvaems.org. Textbooks may also be purchased online in advance through these distributors: Laerdal, Channing Bete, Worldpoint.
