It is our belief that all members of the community should be certified to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and know how to use an AED (automatic external defibrillator). The community-based CPR class is called “Heartsaver AED”.
- Class Length: 3.5 hours
- Class Fee: $40 – FREE for permanent residents of Henrietta (does not include the cost of the required textbook)
- Certification Period: Two years
NOTE: This course is NOT for medical professionals. If you are any of the following, please see the “BLS for Healthcare Provider Class” below: nurse, nursing student, EMT, paramedic, dental office employee, medical office employee, etc.
A textbook is required for the Heartsaver AED class. Textbooks may be purchased in advance or at the time of the class from Henrietta Ambulance or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Textbooks may also be purchased online in advance through these distributors: Laerdal, Channing Bete, Worldpoint.
