Ride Along Program

Our training department offers an opportunity for individuals to observe actual EMS/911 calls on an ambulance. This offers a unique way for members of the community or other medical professionals to see first hand how EMS care is rendered in the field.

This opportunity is generally reserved for those who are involved in, or have an interest in becoming a medical professional. We partner with the University of Rochester Medical Center’s MD Residency Program to allow 2nd year residents to ride on an ambulance for an 8-hour shift.

If you are interested in scheduling an observation shift with us, please contact Linda Missel at lmissel@hvaems.org.
